Introduction and Agreement
These terms and conditions (Terms) govern your purchase and use of dog training services and any e-commerce purchases (Services) provided by Barking Mad Dog Services. By booking, purchasing, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. We reserve the right to amend these Terms; your continued use of the Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
Payment and Course Fees
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your place on a course. Once a booking is confirmed, you are liable for the full cost of the course.
Client Cancellation and Refunds
Cancellation of Dog Training Services
Once a course booking is confirmed and payment is received, no refunds will be given for any reason, including but not limited to, client cancellation, dog illness, dog coming into season, or failure to attend.
No refunds or credits are given for individual training sessions missed due to client non-attendance.
Business Cancellation
In the unlikely event that Barking Mad Dog Services must cancel or reschedule a course, we will provide you with as much notice as possible and offer you a free transfer to the next available course date of same or greater value. We are not liable for any other consequential loss or damage you may incur as a result of a cancellation or reschedule (e.g., travel costs).
E-Commerce Sales (Goods)
These Terms also apply to the purchase of any physical goods, such as training equipment, from our e-commerce platform.
Consumer Rights (Goods): Any goods purchased must be of satisfactory quality, fit for their intended purpose, and as described. If they are not, you may be entitled to a refund, repair, or replacement under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Returns: For distance purchases, you have a 14-day cancellation right from the day after you receive the goods to notify us of your wish to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us. You will be responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless they are faulty.
Client Responsibility and Safety
You, the client, are responsible for the safety and welfare of yourself and your dog at all times while participating in our Services.
Health and Disclosure: You must ensure your dog is up-to-date on all vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, and deworming. You must disclose any known behavioural or health issues (e.g., aggression, anxiety, lack of house training) that may affect the dog's training.
Barking Mad Dog Services reserves the right to refuse service to any dog deemed unsafe or unfit for group training.
Injury and Loss: You are liable for any damage, injury, or death caused by your dog to any person, property, or livestock at the training venue.
Training Rules and Conduct
To maintain a safe and effective learning environment:
All dogs must remain on a leash and under your control during training, unless explicitly instructed otherwise by a trainer.
Maintain a minimum of 2 metres distance between your dog and others, unless instructed otherwise.
Prohibited Handling: Punitive punishment or harsh handling of your dog is not permitted.
Prohibited Equipment: Certain training equipment, including slip collars, half slip collars, or head collars, are not permitted. Trainers will provide instruction on appropriate equipment.
Illness: Dogs with sickness, diarrhoea, lameness, or Kennel Cough within 48 hours of a class are not allowed to attend. Online training can be arranged for missed lessons.
Bitches in Season: Bitches in season are allowed to attend up to the point where they are receptive. We advise that you miss the days when your dog is at this point. Owners may still attend alone to learn and practise at home.
Waste Disposal: You must pick up after your dog and dispose of waste properly. There are no on-site disposal facilities; waste must be taken home.
Limitation of Liability and Service Standards
Limitation of Liability
Barking Mad Dog Services is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury to property, persons, or dogs while attending training, provided we have exercised reasonable care and skill in providing the service.
Service Standards (Consumer Rights Act 2015)
The service we provide must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. If the service fails to meet this standard, you are entitled to have the service repeated at no extra cost or, if that is not possible, a price reduction.

Intellectual Property: You agree not to sell, destroy, deface, alter, or share any work materials, videos, or training methods provided by Barking Mad Dog Services with any third party.
Media: We may take photographs and/or video recordings during training classes for promotional purposes. By attending, you agree to the use of images/recordings of you and your dog. Please notify a trainer in writing if you do not consent.
Breach of Terms
Failing to abide by any of these Terms may result in immediate dismissal from the training course with no refund provided.
Data Protection

Heather, who has recently moved into a new home with her family, has a full house. Along with her three dogs - Lupa, a high-energy Malinois; Falkor, a Miniature American Shepherd with a big personality; and Rebel, a feisty miniature Poodle - her family now includes two sheep and many ducks.
Heather has a long history of dog training and has competed in both obedience and agility. However, when Lupa sustained a shoulder injury during an agility session, it appeared their competitive days were over.
Determined to find a low-impact activity to keep Lupa mentally and physically engaged, Heather discovered the sport of Hoopers. What began as a solution to help Lupa stay active quickly became Heather’s new passion. She loved the sport so much that she decided to become a qualified instructor to share it with other dog owners.
In November 2018, Heather officially became an accredited Hoopers instructor. While older dogs can still compete, Heather has made the decision to retire Lupa from competition due to his 'go hard or go home' nature, ensuring he stays healthy for years to come.
Her new competing partner is the small but mighty Rebel. In their first two competitions, the pair have already proven to be a formidable team, securing first, second, and fourth place finishes.
